2023 Will Be As Great As You Want It To Be! – Ionel Coltea
On January 1st, Desert Hills Baptist Church in Buckeye, Arizona held an ordination service to recognize and set apart 8 deacons and 3 pastors for ministry in the local church. This was a significant moment in the life of the church, as these individuals had undergone rigorous training and examination to ensure that they met the qualifications outlined in the Bible, such as those described in 1 Timothy 3.
During the service, Lead Pastor Adam Zamora delivered a message on the importance of these ordained individuals in the life of the church. He emphasized the crucial role that deacons and pastors play in leading and serving the body of Christ, and encouraged the congregation to support and pray for these individuals as they fulfill their calling.
The ordination of these deacons and pastors marks a new chapter in the ministry of Desert Hills Baptist Church, and serves as a reminder of the importance of setting apart and recognizing those who are called to serve in leadership roles in the church. As these individuals begin their ministry, the church looks forward to seeing how God will use them to advance his kingdom and bring glory to his name.
As we enter into the new year of 2023, it is an opportunity for each of us to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. For believers in Christ, we have the promise of God’s presence and guidance in all things.
Pastor Zamora reminded the church that “2023 Will Be As Great As You Want It To Be!” This means that it is up to us to take active steps to grow in our faith and serve the Lord in whatever capacities he has called us to.
Prayer is an essential aspect of the Christian life, and in 2023, let us make a concerted effort to spend more time in prayer and communication with God. This can be through daily devotionals, setting aside specific times for prayer, or joining a prayer group.
Reading the Bible is another way we can grow in our faith and gain wisdom for the year ahead. Whether through daily devotions or joining a Bible study group, immersing ourselves in God’s Word is vital for our spiritual growth.
Another way to make 2023 a great year is by serving in the local church. This can be through volunteering in various capacities, such as children’s ministry or hospitality, or simply being available to help out when needed.
Finally, giving to support the ministry of the Gospel, both domestically and abroad, is an important way to participate in God’s work in the world. As we trust God to provide for our own needs, we can also give generously to further the spread of the Gospel and help those in need.
As we enter into 2023, let us seek to grow in our faith and serve the Lord with all that we have. With God’s guidance and strength, this can be a truly great year.
