You Can Text to 9-1-1 in the Maricopa Region

Call if you can. Text if you can’t.

That was the key message rolled out during a press conference today as text to 9-1-1 service capability becomes available for the first time in the greater Phoenix region. If you are in imminent danger and unable to talk to a 9-1-1 operator, you now have the ability to text to 9-1-1. The service goes live today following months of collaboration between numerous public agencies and advocates for the disability community.
